About Me

I have a master's degree in relationship therapy and a two-year professional certificate in sex therapy, both completed through Relate. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

 

I have a particular interest in trauma and how our earlier experiences can influence the way we relate to others, especially in our intimate relationships.

 

My experience includes working in a range of clinical settings, including volunteering as a counsellor for adolescents in an inner-city London school. I am also a registered baby bonding practitioner, with an understanding of early bonding and attachment.

 

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the NHS as a district nurse, primarily providing palliative and end-of-life care in people's homes. This involved supporting couples and families as well as individual patients.

 

I have a particular interest in the role sex plays in relationships. I understand that talking about sexual difficulties can sometimes feel uncomfortable, but it is never a taboo subject in my therapy room. I work at your pace to help you feel comfortable discussing sexual intimacy, including conversations that may be difficult but important.

 

I believe in creating a therapeutic environment where we can gently explore difficulties together, finding a balance between acceptance and change, both in your life and in your relationships.
